Important Safety Notes Regarding Essential Oils

Some of the essential oils we use in these fragrances may irritate
sensitive skin. We will no longer be using Oak Moss in future mixes due to
the recent furor in the oil-using community regarding it’s strongly
sensitizing nature. At this time, the only scents we have available that
contain Oak Moss are Autumn Eve, Wood Smoke and Summoning. Other oils can
cause allergic reactions as well and only you know if you have a fragrance
sensitivity or not. Dermatital reactions to cologne or certain spices are
a good indicator that you do.

Pregnant women particularly should exercise extreme caution with essential
oils. Please check with your doctor of naturopath if you have any questions
or concerns.

Also of note, Balsam of Peru, one of my favorite essential oils, contains
similar chemicals as Vanilla, Clove and Cinnamon. If you have any
sensitivity to any of these things you should not wear anything containing
Balsam of Peru.

As in most things, the best bet is to use your judgment.

If you wish to know what is in any of our blends, please contact us and we’d
be happy to help you.
