Dark Carny Creatures |
|
|
One of P.T. Barnum's most famous sideshow attractions was the Fiji Mermaid, a composite mummy half-fish and half orangutan, said to have been captured off Fiji. Throughout the early years of our century, composite creatures were displayed in carnival sideshows across the country as curiosities of the natural world. Here, we present our own versions of mermaids and bug creatures. They can be posed, are desk-sized (mostly around 9" long by 4"-6" high), and finished with hair and enameled teeth. A wonderful addition to any eclectic collection.
