Artemis
This mask represents the goddess Artemis, also
called Diana. She was the Lady of Wild Things and
the Huntsman-in-chief of the gods, and sometimes
associated with the moon, in which guise she was
called Phoebe or Luna. Later, she was identified with
Hecate and so became the goddess of thee forms:
Selene (Luna) in the sky, Artemis on earth,
Hecate in the Lower world.
